9:00 am
monday morning. taking a live look outside right now at red rock casino. it's there that tomorrow will be able to help out the american red cross by giving blood. they're holding a big blood drive with us. details on the way. hope you're enjoying your 2016 thus far. >> the weather looking very dreary outside. already got a car wash this morning. i heard it was going to come and it did just a little bit. we'll take every inch we can get. weather app. because of that, i was able to check out -- i was going to get a full blown car wash yesterday. it would have been the biggest fail ever. ever. even if it was fabulous freddy's, i'd have to come back in and then they'd have to do it again. i'll wait for the rain to go by. >> i got the free car wash from mother nature. i'll take it in later.
9:01 am
hopefully you had a great long weekend. 300,000 people came and went. thank you so much for staying and playing. it was a great time here in vegas over the weekend. a lot of people have gone home and they're broke now. but hey, do it again next year, it will be a blast. >> we don't have to pay state income tax. >> it's so bizarre because the streets are so not crowded anymore. if you noticed, driving commute, it's easy breezy. over the weekend it was crazy. >> well -- >> 'cause there were 300,000 people in town. >> i don't think i went east of buffalo during the weekend. i'm all set with that. >> good morning to you. i'm dao vu. >> i'm shawn tempesta. >> coming up today, treat your pooch while helping other forever friends find their home. >> looking for a new job in the new year? where to go to get your resumes in. but first it's our topic for the day. in just a second, you'll hear about the services that are available to pick up that christmas tree of yours if you're a procrastinator.
9:02 am
that's what we're asking you today. are you one of those people that waits 'til the last second? i know dao put up hers in 2010. >> i have three of them. i don't take it down. >> didn't you have two last >> it multiplies. >> we want to know how long does it take for you to take down your decorations. >> i thought about it, but i just don't have the heart to take it down 'cause my honey and i, we enjoy christmas so much that we like it up year round. i have a huge white tree. the lights are kind dying. i went and got new ones this year. then i have another white tree, a small one on a book shelf. then we have a real one and it's a noble fir. it smells so good, i hate to take it down. it's lasted so long. if you love your christmas trees to smell, get a noble fir. >> but that's going to die. >> it hasn't died yet. month. >> will you throw it out when it
9:03 am
the fibbing -- fake one, i will keep up. my sister likes to take decorations down the evening of christmas. she didn't do it this year because the kids told her she can't do it. time. i got to see if there is any deals still on the big fake ones. >> oh, no, they're all gone. now. >> i should have left the house. >> what you can do is get 75% off christmas wrapping paper. they're on sale now. need it. i have ten rolls of paper i'm never going to use. sales. >> i hand it to them, here, merry christmas. embarrassment. >> it's fun. i love wrapping paper. you. >> brittany, our producer says my mom took down all the decorations when i was out of town. and bret says, i took mine down at the first of the year. henry said, i didn't have a chance to decorate this year. obviously we didn't have a chance to take ours down either.
9:04 am
tree. >> hold on a second. can we get a shot of the tree for a second? star? >> they started to take it down. >> it looks droopy. it's depressed. from. >> why is this here? >> i don't know. >> everything else is gone. >> we can recycle it. >> can i move this? should we leave it for -- let's leave it for the segment. maybe they can help us clear this out. >> we'll have to ask, can you donate a fibbing tree? can you recycle a fake tree or what do you do with one? we'll get the answer to that coming up. >> i don't know. >> we want to know from you about this, how long do you keep the decorations up at your house? share your comments on our facebook and twitter pages. you can find links on you are web site, vegasmorningblend.com. we may read some of your comments live on the air. right now it's time to say
9:05 am
good-bye to the old tannen balm. there are places you can take recycling. >> that's right. we're joined by tyra and rachel, co- chairs on the southern committee. thank goodness you exist. how are you guys? >> good. >> how long has this been going on, this recycling program? >> the christmas tree recycling 90s. 2001. a lot of times you will see the 2001 number year. >> you've started in 2001. have the numbers grown exponent i can't recallly? >> we have recycled 176,000 trees since 2001 and our average year is about 15,500 trees. >> that's a lot. >> the biggest year was 18,000 trees. >> you're doing the real trees? >> we're doing the real trees. the fake trees cannot be recycled. >> that so that goes into a landfill. >> you need to keep your real tree for as long as possible.
9:06 am
>> i have a six footer, but i wanted to go to an eight fore. but now i feel bad now. >> yeah. i have three. you can do that. it's okay. it's your house. you can set up as many trees as you want. >> that's right. >> so why should people recycle their trees as opposed to leaving it up for the trash guy? >> so we always want to divert as much material from the landfill as possible. and we have a recycling goal here in nevada. we have 25% recycling goal. so that means out of all the trash that we produce, all the trash we send to a landfill, we want to recycle or divert about 25%. so we're taking great strides here in nevada, southern nevada. we have a brand-new largest recycling facility in america thanks to republic services. that helps us recycle our regular paper, plastic, aluminum. but what's one step we can do to take it further? and that's recycling your christmas tree. so we want to recycle our christmas tree so that it will get turned into mulch, which helps benefit our environment.
9:07 am
>> and can we get the mulch afterward? how does that work? >> you can either contact us and we can help you. there is parks in henderson that as residents, if you use it for parks and then you want to use it in your backyard, you can contact us. >> pecos legacy, acacia park in henderson, i've been told you can go there and pick up as much mulch between 7 and 3 perform. you have to bring your own shovel and container. you can fill up the back of a pick up truck. you can fill up a garbage bag, whatever you want and take as much mulch as you want from those two parks. >> bring the kids. it sounds like a lot of fun. >> yeah. >> let's talk about the drop sites. where do we drop off the tree? >> we have over 30 drop sites all around the valley. the best way to find the site closest to your home or business is to go to the web site. you have to type in the address. you have to be really particular in how you type in the address. type in your address and it will
9:08 am
show you the closest drop site to your home or business. and then we also have 1-800-got junk, which has a really great program. there are businesses on our committee for 20 to $30, they'll come into your home, take your tree down. >> they'll come in? >> they'll come in. >> i love it! >> take your tree down, vacuum up all the needles on the inside and outside of the facility and then take it to one of our drop sites. and new this year we have pack 219, a can you be scout pakistan. this past weekend and this coming weekend they are doing a pick up, for trees. they don't come into the house. you have to put your tree outside the house. they'll take it and take it to one of the drop sites. you have to go to their web site and make a reservation because they don't want to drive around. they want to go to the house and pick up the tree. that's new this year. >> awesome. we have their web site on the screen as well. >> this program already started.
9:09 am
whether does it wrap up? >> the last day is january 15. >> okay. that's coming up. >> yes. >> so you need to get that noble fir down. >> it still smells so good. when my honey takes his tree down, he gets his saw out and then saws the bottom of the tree and then you can turn it into a christmas ornament. it's so fun. we like to reuse and recycle. >> this is great. dao can have a christmas tree farm in another life. amazing. when it comes to recycling the tree, i'm sure we have to get it as bare as possible. we can't have tinsel all over it, right? >> yeah. that's one of the tips that we want to advise to the community. as we know, it's just -- resource. so your tree is a good example. i'm glad you kept it. we want to remove all the ornaments and all the stars and lights. they are chipping them to turn them into mulch.
9:10 am
with your landscaping and the nutrients. we're not going to get any nutrients from the plastic lights. and with a plastic tree, you don't want to drop that off. if you flocked your tree, we can't recycle those. >> that's good to know. >> there is a chemical they spray to make it white. we don't want to mulch that. >> that's not good. >> it's great having you. thank you so much. >> thank you so much. >> recycle your christmas tree now through january 15. friendspreserve.org, you'll find a dropoff location near you. there is over 30. you can arrange a small pick up for a small fee. check that out. still to come on the blend blend, meet a special pet in need of a forever home this year. how you can help one local
9:11 am
watching "morning blend". are you a victim of holiday weight gain? it's not hard with all those extra sweets and treats. in this new year, stick to a plan to lose a pound a day with the help of our next guest. here with more, celebrity fitness and nutrition expert, lisa lynn, the owner of lynn fit nutrition.
9:12 am
welcome back. >> thank you for having me. how are you? >> thank you so much. christmas come and gone. a lot of people put on the pounds. but you say we could lose a pound a day? >> absolutely. there is one thing that no one is talking about. one out of three people have metabolic issue that will not -- it will stop you from losing weight, unless you do these special steps to boost the metabolism. so this plan addresses the underlyingsuise. weigh exactly is metabolic eating? >> i'm going to give in to that. the first thing, this is your metabolism dead after the holidays or any time. if you have more than 10% of your body weight, you're overweight. your metabolism has begun to shut down due to what you've done to it. but there are ways you can pop this up. i'm going to show you just how effective this can be. so step one takes this dead metabolism and literally makes it -- sorry about the mess --
9:13 am
it heats up your metabolism. metabolic they mow genic eating can be as simple as drink ago protein shake in the morning. it turns up your metabolism very 25%. who doesn't want that so that it makes losing weight faster and easier and here is the most important part. melts off belly fat because it blocks cortisol. that double boost was with the accelerator. i always tell my clients to take -- start your day this way and add the accelerator with it because this has the celebrity nutrient ingredient, raspberry key tones in it. it's not just raspberry keytones. it's ble >> do yothu isve ery mniorng? >>es. we need routine. we need a way of life. that'she easy part. you also want to keep it off. they're delicious. >> some people have been trying, they don't know what's wrong and they do all these things and now you're explaining the reason. >> you need o have a change.
9:14 am
if you're struggling, you're not losing weight, it may not be your fault. it's about boozing the metabolism to make the weight loss faster and easier. why is that good? because when we see results, we stick to the plan. >> this is step one. >> we see our metabolism started to nose dive, it slowed down and this is what happens. mid-morning, skip your snack, go for tea or warm water, water bottle with lemon because we're really thirsty. we're not hungry. we're not toddlers anymore. so go for green tea, hydrate. and this is where i suggest the cutting edge, which as the metabolism went down, people want to know why do i need o take these supplements? i'll show you why. your metabolism decreased, we're going to hit it again. we're going to get that thing to start fizzling up. when our metabolism is dead and i am one of those, we want to keep it stoked and firing all day long. this has an ingredient which pulls fat into the cell and makes your body burn it as fuel. if you're already buffed and you're an exercise issue, this is a really good thing to take
9:15 am
before and after you work out because what people don't know is fat can be reabsorbed versus burned. if you have this metabolic switch that's stuck. >> your last step involves curbing your appetite. >> huge. not only that, like these steps also improve mood. so your metabolism starts to nose dive. not only that, this is when our blood sugar starts to fluctuate. i suggest step three, have an apple as a snack in the afternoon. you want to hit your metabolism again. and yeah, there is three different things you're taking. but here is why. as it nose dives, we want to boost it up again. but not only that, this kills cravings dead in their tracks before that witching hour where people say all day to me, i come apart at the seams late. this also balances blood sugar, so you're going to see any prediabetic conditions clean up. i'm going to show you some people who are stuck in this rut. this girl here was exercising that you see, really compulsively and wasn't losing, all of them. we had to boost their metabolism and look at them now.
9:16 am
we've got 90 pounds on the first one. i think that was 65. then there is this guy. every day he keeps losing more. because we boosted his metabolism. we did change his eating, which i discuss in my book. so you want to really take that last step. sometimes when you're overweight, you need to take an adepressive approach in order to make change. >> you can help people make that. >> guaranteed if do you it, it works. >> now, you have a way to reach your goals and you're helping people check it off. >> yeah. i have a check, believe it or not. a lot of people get confused had you're trying to make change. so it's good to just check a box, or i love the sharpie. hit it. it makes you feel accomplished. it will keep you on track. all you have to do is go up. i forgot to check a box. >> you can see it. >> put it right by the tv. >> yeah. not only that, this is an audio book i just put mine on. if you can't read, put it in your car and brainwash yourself. >> very quickly, you have a great special going on right now. >> yes. i want to really encourage people to go out and boost their goals.
9:17 am

we'll be back. welcome back to the "morning blend." channel 13 action news and the american red cross are teaming up once again for blood rocks. it's our fifth event together and it feels so good. it's a great way to give back your good deed. >> district manager for the american red cross blood services, julie, is here with how you can get involved. welcome back. how are you? >> i'm well. thanks for having me again. >> this is our fifth year doing this. time has gone by so quickly. >> i know. >> you've done so much good for our community. can you tell us about this blood rock event? >> so this is the fifth time
9:20 am
we actually collaborate twice a year. so this is number five. and january is always our biggest one. it's a great way to kick off the new year for a couple of reasons. number one, january is national volunteer blood donor month. so as you mentioned, there is some great ways to get rewarded. so we do -- every presenting donor gets a free buffet coupon to the red rock buffet. >> i'm already in. >> i know. it's a great thing. and then the other thing is we have drawings for three $100 gift cards from fredies. so that's fantastic. so it's a great way to come. you get a free meal and you get entered into the drawing. and you know you're helping patients right here in our las vegas community. >> it's pretty awesome. so the event takes place tomorrow. >> tomorrow, yes. >> from when to when? >> 1 to 7 and we're at red rock
9:21 am
we had to move. now they'd called the crimson lounge. because we've grown so much, the event continues to get bigger and bigger. so we had to move into a bigger location. so we can process more donors, which is fantastic. >> it's the fanciest place you will ever donate blood. >> oh, good. >> it's very nice. >> that makes it easier to come out when you know you're in a fancy location. >> of course. for people who have never donated blood, what do they need to know? >> you know, donating blood is really all about coming prepared to donate. you really want to take time to hydrate, like start hydrating today, drink lots and lots of water. get some juice, avoid caffeine. you want to have a good meal tonight. tomorrow morning continue to hydrate. have a good breakfast. have a good lunch. avoid caffeine. and then just typically first-time donors if they come prepared are well hydrated and had a good meal, they will have a positive donation experience. >> it's not the boogie man.
9:22 am
you're not going to have a vampire behind the curtain or whatever. >> no. and our staff are fantastic. they're so gentle and so caring and just really -- we understand that there is people that come donating. even for me as a seasoned donor, every time i donate, you get a little appear hencesive. your arm. but it helps to step back and kind of think, there is a patient who -- there is someone whose life may potentially depend on me overcoming that fear and getting over some of that nervousness to insure that they have a holiday with their family and i think coming off of the holidays, it's good to remember that there were a lot of people who didn't have that luxury of sitting around a christmas tree or having a thanksgiving meal. they were in a hospital and needed someone to overcome their fear and take some time out of their busy day to donate blood.
9:23 am
>> how many hospitals do you serve? >> the american red cross is the main supplier to nine of the 13 hospitals here in las vegas. so we strive to collect well over 700 units every week, just to meet the needs of our local patients right here in las vegas. so we have a great need. and a great need for the community to come out and support the american red cross. >> one point of blood can do what? >> one pint can save potentially up to three lives. taking about an hour out of your day and coming down, going through the process, and the needle is really only in your arm for about five to ten minutes. can potentially save up to three lives. >> know you're doing something for the greater good, the pain is really nothing. >> exactly. it really is manageable. again, if you're thinking about a cancer patient or premature baby or someone who really -- and they go through a lot to get that transfusion.
9:24 am
it's great. one of the things that i do want to mention, we implemented recently called rapid pass. so you can go to our web site and you can read your materials before hand. you can answer the health history questions and then you print out this document and drive. and then you can go straight to the health history. you don't have to do that when you get to the blood drive. you've done it beforehand and it saves people a ton of time. they should definitely check out rapid pass. do that before hand. you'll get through quickly. and plus then all you have to do is adjust your physical findings. so we'll still take your temperature, all of that type of stuff. then you just can go straight to donate? >> what about a height age requirement? >> if you're under the age of
9:25 am
19, there is a height and weight requirement and you do need to have a parent's consent form if you're 16 years old. but otherwise the basic requirement to donate blood is you need to way 110 pounds. be in general good health and not have donated blood in the last 56 days. >> if you don't weigh enough to donate blood, you can tell your friends and drag your friends there. >> exactly. >> what if you're like at 108? you give them -- >> go through the buffet first, then you come back in and say, i'm ready. >> you know, that would not be a good idea. please do not do that. >> maybe not. >> they do have the best buffet. >> it's fantastic. it's a great event you put on and great to be part of it. >> it is. it's always fantastic to collaborate with you guys. you're a great teammate. it's great at red rock. we feel like it's a fantastic partnership and always thankful
9:26 am
that you guys are willing to support us. >> the whole process takes about an hour? >> it does. you plan on about 45 minutes to an hour, but again, if you do rapid pass, you'll probably be done -- we've seen donors come in and be out >> perfect. >> how often can you give blood? >> you can give blood e expires after 42 days. especially the red cells. so that's why we need people to always donate blood. and you can donate again every 56 days, which is about every other month, or up to six times a year. so some of our regular donors we have because they could sneak in do that. you can not do that. >> pleasure having you. thank you so much. >> thank you. happy new year to you. >> channel 13 and the american red cross present blood rocks 5 tomorrow from 1 'til 7 at resort.
9:27 am
to win one of three $100 gift cards from fabulous freddy's. they're a proud sponsor of channel 13 and they provided those prizes. in finding a new job in 2016 is part of your new year's resolution, then don't miss one of the two job fairs in our area. >> one in henderson this thursday, while the las vegas job fair is next month at the palm. both run from 11 to 2 p.m several prospective employers will be there. remember to dress for success and bring plenty of resumes.
9:28 am
more when we return. it's out with the old and in with the new with 2016 underway, it's time to set yourself up for success. tara wellington joins us with easy tips for wellness goals for the new year. good morning to you, tara. >> hey, good morning. how are you? >> great, thank you. what are some trends you're healthy? >> yes. so one of the big trends that i'm seeing is super grains and foods. i'm here on behalf of several companies that i'll talk about today. super grains are basically whole grains that haven't been stripped down. they still have the nutritional benefits of the protein and the fiber and the vitamin, which is great. so make a goal to look for them and here is an example. this is from kind. it's their brand-new breakfast bars. they have the recognizable
9:29 am
ingredients and a full serving of your whole grains, which should be like your gluten free oats and mille, and quinoa and these are soft baked, crispy outsides with an excellent source of fiber and if you have a busy morning, like me and you still want to get your breakfast in, you can grab one of these bars and some greek yogurt and fruit and you're ready to go. easy. you don't have to miss a meal and then get hungry and then binge eat later on as well. let's talk about eating fruits and vegetables. how important are they? >> they are super important. as a matter of fact, the new dietary guidelines are causing a lot of discussion about this. and this is great. so one thing that you can do is add a variety to your healthy fruit options. this is really important because according to the harvard school of public health, they say that it can lower your blood pressure, reduce your risk of heart disease, among other things.
9:30 am
so here is a portable example for these healthy fruit options. a big slice. this is juicy cooked apples, it's delicious. all natural. about 100 calories each. and they have lots of flavors. this is the blueberry pomegranate. it's a snack that can go anywhere. it opens really easily. it's found at sprouts and other major grocery retailers in the fruit snack aisle. >> that looks so cool. the pack happening is so convenient, too. >> totally. you can throw it in your purse. >> the kids will have fun eating that, too. now, let's talk about other trends that you're seeing in 2016. what should we watch out for? >> okay. technology and health care, this is great. you can use technology to book your doctor appointments online to save time. there is a great example. because i can be at work or i can be by my child's bedside at midnight and download the free app and search for a wide variety of doctors in my
9:31 am
neighborhood that take my insurance and book my appointment instantly online. this gets my family into the doctor within 24 hours, which is family. and also you can use it for preventtive healthcare, like your annual eye doctor appointment. if you have wear contacts, you can ask your eye doctor about water gradient technology. this is from daily total one contact lenses, the first and technology. and basically what it means is the lens approaches 100% water at the outer most surface to give you comfort until the end of the day, which means i'm not gog have rocks in my eyes. and it's a daily disposable lens that you take out each night and then you replace it every morning. so there is a lot of convenience as well. >> very nice. a lot of people don't like to wear contact because they get bother p.m. irritating. this is a good option for them where. can i find out more information? >> you can go to simplemomsguide.com.
9:32 am
that i talked about, as well as some additional tips on we have these healthy living goals that can be really large. and breaks it down into smaller goals. so there you go. >> all right. thank you so much. happy new year to you. >> happy new year. >> get on track in 2016 by taking care of yourself and your family. visit the web site on your screen for more on how to make this year the healthiest one yet. shawn? >> thank you so much. this dog knew right when it stop. i love it! this dog is so adorable! help this german shepherd or others like it find a forever home.
9:33 am
"morning blend". welcome back to the morning morning. the holidays may be over, but there is no need to stop giving. our four legged friends could always use a helping hand. >> here with more on how you can help and support local pets in need, our executive producer, julie, who is a board member, looping with fellow board member and adoptions director, sherry dale. good morning to both of you. >> hi. >> who is this? >> this is kaiser. she's nine months old. she's looking for a new home. >> you said nine? >> nine months old, yeah. >> she's still a pup. >> yes, she is. she's a big one. >> she's got a great temperment, she knows how to give her paw. she wants to give kisses. really a really gentle dog. >> yeah. she's great with -- she's been around children and cats, other dogs. she's done great with all of them. >> how do we adopt either her or
9:34 am
>> go to our web site and fill out the adoption application. it gets the process started and then we do a home visit and then if you have other dogs, bring them down, make sure everybody gets along and that's about it. >> awesome. how does it work? let's say we see dog on the web site that we really fall in love with. do we get to come down and grab him and take him home? >> not necessarily. it's very rare that that can happen because we do schedule our -- once the application is approved, we schedule the home visit. >> you want to meet the owner? >> yes. and like sherry said, make sure that if you have other animals, we want to do meet and greets and we'll do that new for locations before we bring them in to your home as well. so it doesn't all typically happen in a day's time. >> you're testing with other animals at the house, too, and cats and whatever are in the house? >> all the family members. >> sometimes dogs, there is something about a person maybe from their past reminds them.
9:35 am
>> we don't like everybody that we meet, right? well, same for dogs. >> so how do we start the process? there is an application on the web site? >> go to the adoption application and fill it out online. they will contact you just within 48 hours or 72 hours, tells you whether or not you're approved. and then they ask to schedule the home visit. they may have additional questions they e-mail you back. >> we can't adopt, but want to help out what, can we do? >> there is a really cool thing going on. this is today only. yeah. there is this am fun gift set we have. there's a great local company who is generously donating 20% of proceeds from this limited collection, holiday gift set. like i said, today only. the set includes the festive winter holiday red satin collar, which kaiser is wearing here. she's modeling for us today. then there is this really cool
9:36 am
padded removable handle on the nylon leash. >> wow. >> if the leash gets torn apart, you can take it off and put it on a new leash. >> that's why. >> then there is a tug of war toy that you've got right there. >> which i'll tell you, kaiser has been loving. >> yeah. there is some little bling, too. >> yeah, kaiser is modeling that. there is bones and different stuff. you can choose from different leash colors and rhinestone jewelry gift sets. this is all meant for dogs that are medium to medium large. and you can just go to our facebook page today and there is a link right there, click on it and as i said, these things are discounted like 45% already. >> that's great. >> yeah. >> really affordable. but like i said, it helps our orphans and that's what we care about and -- >> part of the proceeds go back to you? >> yeah 20%. >> super generous to do that. >> that's excellent.
9:37 am

assistant lindsey kay from laser med solutions. good morning to you. >> good morning. >> everybody wants to look and feel great and you can help them achieve that. >> we can. so we use radio frequency, which is just heat and radio waves and we're using a noninvasetive device. what this does is this heats that deep layer of the skin from the inside outward. so with all that heat that builds up in that deep layer, this is scientifically proven to stimulate the growth of brand-new collagen, so it reduces your fine lines and any wrinkles you have, and then also works to tighten up the skin in the area that we're treating. >> even though it's a lot of skin. it doesn't go beyond. you don't become bacon? there is president obama pain involved with this at all and no down time or recovery time, loving it. because they get to come in, it takes about 45 minutes for the session if you're treating the complete face. and you can apply make-up right after that. that's how noninvasetive it is. >> you can do the face and body? >> we can.

we can treat the complete face, the neck, which is going to be the most popular area. it's one of the first signs of aging that we do receive. so that's going to be the most popular area. but we can treat areas of the body with this device. so that's really exciting that we can tighten up the skin in the area that you want to treat. >> what are some of the big areas that you see around the body beyond the face? >> so one of the main areas is going to be the thighs or the stomach, just because if you've had a baby, you've got some loose skin in that area, we're going to work to tighten up the area in the stomach, or if you suffer from cellulite in the thighs, or loose skin. obviously as we age, everything starts to drop. so by tightening up the skin and reducing cellulite in the area, we're getting really great results with this. >> you've seen great results. let's look at some pictureses. you can describe to us what we're taking a look at here. >> what's also really exciting with this is we do treat the face and the neck. but the really exciting part is this is one of the only devices on the market that can really

treat the eye area. so we can treat crow's feet, dark circling, we can do puffiness, an eye lift with it. so this is one of those noninvasive treatments where we're able to actually treat the eye area. it's really exciting. >> i think a lot of people who think the only way to get to the eye area is something like botox and they don't necessarily want to do that. >> the nice part about this is most patients they do a series of four sessions where they come once every four weeks. the nice part is well, the results last up to two years. >> wow. >> so yeah. when you have one treatment, it's actually producing at least six months of brand-new collagen for the patient. >> as you mentioned, you don't have any down time? >> there is no down time with this. so obviously you see some results after your first session. but that improves month to month all the way up to 12 months. you will see a difference with only four sessions from six months up to 12 months when you're not even in the clinic anymore. >> excellent. where are you located? >> we're located at washington

we're at 777 north rainbow boulevard and we're suite 200. >> awesome. >> who would be a good candidate for this? >> that's the nice part. male or female, you can be anywhere from 25 all the way up to 80. age is definitely not a factor in this. we develop wrinkles from dehydration, smoking, stress. there are so many factors of why we get those fine lines or deep folds on our face. we're able to treat you no matter what the reason is. >> awesome. you also have a special offer as well. >> we do. so we're doing 40% off promotion. so you can give us a call. but you have to call us today. we'll give you all the information that you need on the actual device and what t tatment would be like for you. we'll give you 40% off four or six sessions. >> and as you mentioned, you get the best results when you do the entire package. >> yeah. if you're a little bit younger, early 20s, you can get away with doing one or two sessions of this. but most of our patients that are coming in are from about 35 all the way up to 80.
